The PTP is a program starting in November of 2017 as an avenue to get the everyday youth baseball player some extra training and drills. The players will be meeting on Wednesday nights at The Batters Cave. A professional baseball instructor will spend 75 minutes with them and teach them to master a different training exercise every week. Their takeaway? The lesson will be taught in a format that they will leave with the ability to continue working on this drill on their own at home.
Wednesday nights, starting November 1st. We will initially plan on going through the winter with this special program, but could expand it based on demand. Each session will accommodate up to 15 kids, and we’ll have time for two groups per Wednesday.
We have long tried many ways to get some more instruction to the non-APD level players, and we feel this will work. This is no draw on the volunteer base at ASWLL, and allows us to leverage our relationship with our partner The Batters Cave.
This program will be open to all kids who will participate in the Machine Pitch through Senior Divisions… essentially, ages 7-18. That’s right, there is no standard for playing ability or talent level. Any youth baseball player will benefit from this program. Parents wanting to get some private instruction for their child, kids striving to be a little better, or even if you’re ready for a quiet night at home or date night… register your child for the session(s) you wish. Players participating must participate in ASWLL in the Spring Season.
Each session is a registration of its own, and the program cost is $10 per session.
